What is Swanson Full Spectrum Coleus Forskohlii?

First discovered by the Swedish Naturalist Peter Forskal (and subsequently named after him!), Swanson Full Spectrum Coleus Forskohlii is a member of the Lamiaceae (mint) family. It closely resembles a brighter, more colourful nettle in appearance which is probably why one of its nicknames is the 'painted nettle'.

What's really fascinating about this plant is that its name "coleus", actually refers to a defunct genus. Nowadays it is more frequently referred to as Solenostemon scutellarioides.
